The 17th Annual Meeting of the Missouri Herpetological Association was held on 25-26 September 2004 at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge near Mound City, Holt County, Missouri.
A total of 33 members attended. An introduction to Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge was followed by eleven paper sessions. A short business meeting followed the last presentation. Abstracts from presentations will be published in the 2004 newsletter, available sometime this winter.
Sunday, 26 September 2004 marked the first official field trip associated with an annual meeting. Following is the list of species caught on the refuge for both Saturday and Sunday.

The 17th annual meeting of the Missouri Herpetological Association will be held September 25-26, 2004 at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge in Holt County. A detailed map of the area is available at the Friends of Squaw Creek site.
Papers and posters will be presented on Saturday (25 September 2004) starting at 1pm. A potluck supper, augmented with fried turkey and fries, will be the Saturday evening meal. A field trip, led by refuge biologist Frank Durbian, is planned for 9am Sunday (26 September 2004).
Accommodations include tent camping and limited on-site facilities. Motels are available in nearby Mound City.
