A total of 36 members, representing eleven (11) organizations, attended the meeting. Eight (8) paper sessions were presented during the regular meeting. A brief business meeting followed the last regular presentation. Business meeting discussion topics included the date and location of the 2026 meeting. Abstracts from presentations will be published in the 2025 newsletter, which will be available this winter.

Date and Location

The 38th annual meeting of the Missouri Herpetological Association will be held September 27 – 28, 2025 at the Ozarks Education Center, northwest of Cedarcreek.

Agenda

Paper sessions will begin at 1 pm on Saturday afternoon. Members planning to present a paper should fill out and return the attached registration form to Jeff Briggler no later than Fri 19 Sep 2025. Registration is free.

After the paper sessions are concluded, we will have a potluck for the Saturday evening dinner. Please bring a hot dish, salad, chips, dessert, hot rolls, chicken wings, etc. Supply your own drinks and tableware for dinner.

Accommodations

A dormitory (bunk beds and cots for approximately 30 people on a first come basis) and sites for tent camping are available. There will be a $5/person charge to stay at the station overnight! Bring pillow, sleeping bag, or bedding.

Driving Directions

From Springfield, take Highway 65 south approximately 27 miles, then exit onto US 160 E towards Forsyth (left off ramp). Continue on US 160 for 15 miles, then turn right to remain on US 160 for an additional 6.6 miles. Turn right onto Rt. M for 6.6 miles. Turn right onto Rt. KK for 3 miles. Turn right onto Wolf Creek Road for 0.35 miles. The field station is located at GPS coordinates 36.618099 -93.029308.
